Firm History

Winfield Elder Law was established in 2012 by Elizabeth Williams Winfield. Attorney Winfield discovered many years ago her passion for elder law while working as an attorney with the Office of the Public Guardian in Chicago, Illinois. The Office of Public Guardian provided Attorney Winfield with a foundation to becoming an effective elder law attorney who cares. Attorney Winfield is a civil litigator with over ten years’ experience in trial advocacy, representing disabled adults, veterans and children. In addition, Attorney Winfield is a skilled director of human resources and law firm administrator, with over ten years of solid law firm management experience.

Elizabeth Williams Winfield, Attorney at Law is Founder of Winfield Elder Law and Peachtree Fiduciary & Guardianship Services. Attorney Winfield has dedicated her entire years of practice to serving disabled adults, children and veterans. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Illinois. Attorney Winfield comes from a family steeped in military tradition and her mission is to fight for those who have fought for our country and those who need a strong voice to fight for them. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Law, a MBA from Nova Southeastern University and anundergraduate degree in business administration from University of Central Florida. Attorney Winfield serves as County Guardian for Fayette County, Georgia and County Administrator for Clayton and Coweta County, Georgia. In addition to her practice, Attorney Winfield serves as professional fiduciary over veterans and trustee, guardian and conservator for wards across the state of Georgia. Attorney Winfield proudly serves as a member of the following organizations:
